Simply Relaxed Cowl

Supplies Needed:
worsted weight yarn
Size K hook
tapestry needle

Stitches Used:
ch-chain
sl st- slip stitch
dc- double crochet
sc- single crochet
large v-stitch- dc, ch 1, dc [in same st]
small v-stitch- sc, ch3, sc [in same st]
cluster- 3dc [in same st]

Bust out your hook!


This pattern is worked in the round and straight down. There are no overall increases or decreases. The final project, when laid out flat, will appear like a rectangle.

Ch 102 and join to beginning with sl st.

R1 ch 1, sc in each st around and join with sl st careful not to twist. (102)

R2 Ch 4 and dc in same st, skip 2 sts, *make large v-stitch, skip 2 sts*around and join to 3rd ch of ch4 at beginning of round. (34 Large v-stitches)

R3 Ch1, make small v-stitch in every chain space of the large v- stitches of the previous round. Join with sl st to ch 1 at beginning of row.

R4 Ch 3, make a cluster in every ch space of the small v-stitches. Join to top of ch3 with sl st.

R5 Ch 3, sk 2 sts, *make large v-stitch, skip 2 sts* around. Make sure to work in the middle dc of each cluster from previous round.

R6 repeat round 3

**Repeat rounds 4-6 3 more times**

Border

Sl st over 3 sts to get to middle of chain space. *ch 5, sc in middle of next ch sp* around and join to beginning of first ch 5 of round with sl st. The border will be a scallop pattern.

Weave in both ends and rock your new Simply Relaxed Cowl!
